The timing has never been more critical for business and community leaders to work together through their local Workforce Boards. Today's changing workplace and the nation's economic climate demand leadership and vision at all levels. Participation helps provide that leadership and the kind of strategic thinking that will bring about the changes necessary for the development of an integrated workforce development system.
Evolution of the workforce system needs vision and commitment: It all hinges on the active involvement of business, industry and community leaders. Business and community leaders can make a difference - and can't afford to stay on the sidelines if they care about the business of work and the vitality of the region and state. Business and community leaders who are interesting in becoming involved or contributing to local workforce initiatives should contact their local workforce boards.
